Boat Fitter/Joiner (full time) Due to a recent increase in work load JF Boat Building are seeking another joiner/boat fitter to join our team at kings bromley wharf, Lichfield, WS13 8HS. We are a small team that specialise in fitting out bespoke narrowboat builds to customers specifications and boat yard work on private boats also may be required. The person must be hardworking, reliable, and also work as part of a team but equally be as happy to work alone. Some personal tools are required ie small hand tools and cordless drills, but the work shop is equipped with the main tools for the job at hand. Experience We are ideally seeking someone with experience within the narrowboat building sector would be our preferred option. But if we cannot find an operative with that experience then we will look for a carpenter/bench joiner/cabinet maker. An understanding of how a narrowboat is built and functions of a boat would be a massive advantage. In addition to the above experience you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: - Have a keen eye for detail - Hard working - Fit and relatively agile - Be a good team player - Be able to work on own initiative - Prioritise work given - Willingness to work outside when required throughout the year - Some flexibility maybe needed with working hours but standard hours will be 8am - 5pm with 30mins unpaid lunch break - Overtime when available - Own transport is required to get to and from the yard - Confidence to talk with customers when needed to Pay Negotiable 💰 If this listing is for you then please apply either by email, phone or via messenger to Jamie Franklin.
